Monday evening at Riggs High School, the Pierre Governor girls wrestling team would be celebrated with the Welcome Home after winning its fourth straight team state championship.
It’s been the fifth year overall of girls wrestling and Pierre would have won the team score in the first year, but the state did not award a team title until the second year, but for the Govs, they’ve stayed on top of the state since day one. Wrestlers and coaches were able to speak at the event and the community had a chance to show the appreciating for achieving the accomplishments.
