The Pierre Governor girls are on the cusp of another team title on Saturday and lead by 28.5 points over second as State wrestling will head into the final day.
Pierre Governors
The Governor girls will have Dani Ringstmeyer, Kezrey Benning, Ireland Templeton and Abbi Lewis will all be competing for an individual state championship on Saturday. All four are 3-0 at the state tournament. Lexie Hillmer reached the semifinal, but will wrestle for third on Saturday while Jayda Steinke and Brylee Pelle will each wrestle for seventh place.
Alex Oedekoven will be the lone Governor boy heading into the championship on Saturday. Oedekoven won his semifinal match in overtime. Elijah Boutchee will wrestle for third while Gable Uhrig will wrestle for fifth and Bode Minder and Porter Hunsley wrestling for seventh place.
Sully Buttes
For Sully Buttes, Cateri Yellow Hawk is wrestling for the state championship. Yellow Hawk will wrestle Pierre’s Ringstmeyer. Tahnie Yellow Hawk will also be wrestling for fifth place in the 132.
Stanley County
After losing in the first round, Timber Hanson won three straight before falling just short of the third place match and will wrestle for fifth on Saturday. Kamora Rutherford went 1-2 for the Lady Buffaloes.
The Buffalo boys will have Hayden Roggow wrestling for fifth place and Spencer Sargent going for seventh in Class B.
