The Oahe Capitals have two games remaining to get into the state tournament with both games in Sioux Falls taking on the West Flyers on Saturday and the East Flyers on Sunday.
If Yankton beats Watertown in regulation, the Capitals will need one of the two games to get to overtime at minimum to reach the state tournament. A win will guarantee them a spot in the playoffs as long as Watertown doesn’t win Saturday’s game against Yankton. Oahe is 7-13 heading into the game playing some of its best hockey of the season. West and East will play against each other before meeting the Capitals to close the season. Both East and West have a chance at the two seed, but could fall back to the five seed depending on how they finish the final weekend. The Caps lost to East 6-2 and West 3-2 at home back at the beginning of January.
Saturday’s game has puck drop at 6:45 with Sunday’s game at 12:30. Both games are on Capital City Rock and on YouTube at Capital City Rock Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
