The Oahe Capitals Bantam A and B teams along with the girls 14U team will be traveling around the state as state tournaments begin for all three teams on Friday and runs through Sunday.
Bantam B
The Oahe Capitals Bantam B seed is the seven seed heading into the state tournament. Oahe will face the Sioux Center Storm in the first round of the tournament. With only seven teams in the league, Oahe will need to win on Friday or Saturday to guarantee a game to play on Sunday. The B team will play in Brookings against Sioux Center at 7:00 on Friday.
Bantam A
The A team will face the Rushmore Thunder at 3:00 on Friday in the 2-7 matchup in Aberdeen. Oahe went 7-10-0-1 on the season finishing just two points out of sixth and four points away from fifth place. Oahe was led in scoring by Brecken Fuhrman who was tenth in the league with 19 goals.
Girls 14U
The Oahe Lady Capitals 14U team will be the five seed heading into the state tournament this weekend in Sioux Center, Iowa. Oahe went 9-7-1-1 and will face the Watertown Lakers. The Lakers won 7-1 and tied 4-4 in the two games this season. Oahe had won five in a row prior to falling in the final three games of the season. The Caps face the Lakers at 5:00 on Friday in the first round.
