The season is down to three games in the final week of the season for the Pierre Governors as the week starts with the girls hosting Jefferson and the boys on the road to face the Cavaliers.
The Governor girls have moved up to the seventh seed at 11-6 on the season and will face a potential team in the SoDak 16 tonight in the Cavaliers. Jefferson is 9-9 on the season and in tenth in the AA standings. If the season ended today, this would be the matchup. Jefferson is 6-3 in second half of the season but are 2-3 in the last five. Pierre has won four in a row and six of the last seven.
The Governor boys will face all three teams this week with records below .500, however two of those three teams are above them in the standings. Pierre is 6-11 while Jefferson comes in at 7-10, but are in tenth in the AA standings. The Cavs have won back-to-back games heading into tonight’s game.
Coverage tonight will be around 6:30 for both the girls and boys game with tip off at 7:00. Dylan Simmons will have the call of the boys game in Sioux Falls on KCCR and Jon Winkler will the have call of girls game in Pierre on Capital City Rock. Both games will be on YouTube at KCCR Sports.
