Homicides increased from 18 to 31 from 2023 to 2024. Burglaries were down from 2023. Juvenile arrests were down by roughly 200 while drug arrests were slightly higher. Over 485 law enforcement officers were killed or assaulted in 2024 including the death of Moody County Chief Deputy Ken Prorok.
