Stanley County Falls to Unity Christian at Heritage Classic

In an invite only day, the Heritage Classic, the Stanley County Buffaloes would get the invite to face Unity Christian of Iowa, one of the top teams in their state. The Buffs would hang tough but fall 58-45.

Stanley County would lead 12-9 after the first quarter of play, but Unity Christian’s second quarter would be the difference. They would outscore Stanley County 18-6 to take a 27-18 lead at the break. The Buffs tried to close the gap and made it a nine point game at the end of the three, but failed to get all the way back in the game. Eddie Duffy had the team high 16 points for the Buffs while Kaden Montana had 11. Unity Christian had a game high 17 from Jackson Vogel.

Stanley County drops to 11-4 on the season and will host Todd County on Tuesday with just five games remaining in the season. The doubleheader will have a tip off time of 6:30 for the girls and 8:00 for the boys.
