The Pierre Governor basketball teams will be back in action tonight as the Governor girls will face the Douglas Patriots at home while the boys team will travel out to Box Elder.

For the Governor girls, It’s the first game in 10 days after falling to Washington on Saturday, January 11. Pierre is at 3-3 on the season and will start a busy stretch of four games in 11 days and tonight is only the seventh game of the season. Douglas comes in at 0-8 on the season and has lost by 30 points or more in six of its eight losses. It’s the first time the Governors are at home in a month.

The Governor boys will get on the road for the first time in a month after three straight at home. The Govs will look to stop its five game skid and start back on the winning track. Pierre faces the 3-5 Patriots who are 1-3 in AA games. Douglas has its lone AA win over Sturgis, who beat the Governors in Sturgis back in December.

Coverage of the girls game will start around 6:30 with tip off at 7:00 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler and Dylan Simmons on the call.
