PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Hughes County Commission is moving their meeting for tonight for tomorrow night because of the Martin Luther King, Junior holiday. Commissioners will consider approval of minutes and claims before moving on to agenda items. Two public hearings are on the agenda. Both are for liquor license application. Commissioners will consider animal fees with the Hughes County Sheriff’s Office and personnel-human resource items. The Commission will also consider establishing guidelines for public comments at meetings. Other agenda items include considering Commission liaison appointments and discussing meeting times for the Commission. Last year, the Commission agreed to try starting their meetings at nine-am on Mondays instead of 5:30 pm. Commissioners will hear reports and will take public comment before adjourning the meeting. The Hughes County Commission meets Tuesday morning at nine-am at the Hughes County Courthouse in the second floor Commission Chamber. To join the meeting remotely call 605-773-7508 and enter meeting ID number 1883.
