Stanley County Soars to Jones County Tournament Championship Game

The Stanley County Buffaloes would drive past the Crazy Horse Chiefs on Friday night in Murdo with a 67-32 blow out win to reach the 57th Annual Jones County Tournament Championship.

Stanley County enacted the running clock in the second half with the 35 point win as the Buffs have been able to get the continuous clock in both games of tournament so far. Three players were in double figures again for the Buffs, and it was the same three as Thursday. Eddie Duffy had a game high 22, this time dropping in six threes, while Kaden Montana finished with 19 points and Paxton Deal had 15 to lead the Buffs to its sixth straight win to improve to 7-1 on the season.

Kadoka Area beat Lyman in the second semifinal Friday night by a score of 63-39. The Kougars are 5-4 on the season and will face the Buffaloes tonight in the championship game. Tip off is scheduled for 8:00 at the Harold Thune Auditorium in Murdo.
