The Pierre Governor basketball teams will be back in action on Saturday with the boys hosting the Washington Warriors while the girls are on the road to Sioux Falls.
The girls contest will be against the number two team in the latest polls as the Washington Warriors are currently 6-0 on the season. The Warriors picked up its latest win back on Thursday January 2 with a 53-42 win over Huron. Even with the six wins, Washington has just one win against a team over .500 in the Harrisburg Tigers. The Governors are now 3-2 with back-to-back wins which included a 29 point win over Bismarck.
The Governor boys will look to get back to .500 against the Warriors who are 4-2 on the year. Washington has won three in a row with its only two losses to Harrisburg 75-66 and Lincoln 65-55. The Governors have dropped three in a row with losses to undefeated Spearfish and a tough Bismarck squad.
