PIERRE, (KCCR) — A Pierre man is arrested last Thursday following the report of a disturbance. Officers responded to the 700 block of East Wells Avenue around 7:35 pm on January 2nd. Pierre Police Detective Sergeant Cole Martin says officers responded to a report of a belligerent male attempting to begin a fight. Upon arrival, officers made contact with 20 year-old D’Angelelo Prue. Investigating officers determined Prue was impaired, having consumed alcohol and illegal drugs. As police attempted to take Prue into custody he became uncooperative and resisted the officers efforts to handcuff him and staff at the Hughes County Jail. Prue was arrested on charges including Obstruction of Law Enforcement and multiple drug offenses. The investigation further determined Prue was in possession of a stole cell phone. He was additionally charged with Possession of Stolen Property.
