Pierre City Commission To Hold Final 2024 Meeting Tonight

PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is wrapping up business for 2024 tonight. Commissioners will consider approval of an eight-item consent calendar. The calendar includes minutes from the December 17th meeting and claims, two plat changes in the extra territorial area and employee promotions and adjustments for the police department, electric department and wastewater departments. Two public hearings will be held at 5:45 pm. The first is for a liquor license transfer for ownership of the Ramkota and the second is for an airport hangar lease. Commissioners will consider a request to bid 2025 street paving projects, a request to purchase a flooring system for the pool bathhouse and a bond resolution for the Euclid Avenue Drinking Water improvement project. First reading of a water rate ordinance change will be made along with consideration of a contract with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Other agenda items include 2025 Commission and part-time patrol officer salary policy, an agreement with Oahe TV and 2024 Budget transfers. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the Pierre Municipal Building.
