PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Hughes County Commission is meeting at least one more time before 2025 to put a cap on 2024 business. The Commission will consider approval of of minutes from the December 16th meeting and claims before considering the appointment of Matt Hardwick as county coroner. The Commission will also consider a Big Grant application, jail contracts and property trust agreements in the County. Other agenda items consist of contingency transfers before the end of the year, consideration of a cost of living adjustment for county employees for 2025 and any last minute personnel items that may require approval by the Commission. The Hughes County Commission will meet Monday morning at nine-am at the Hughes County Courthouse in the second floor Commission chamber. The meeting is open to the public. Remote access to the meeting is available by calling 605-773-7508 and entering the meeting ID number of 1883. In 2025, regular Hughes County Commission meetings will begin at nine-am on the first and third Mondays of the month.
