This Friday night, the Pierre Governors will hold a “Salute to Veterans” night as Pierre hosts Sturgis. It’s the first of two “Salute to Veterans” night this season.
On Friday, all area veterans and active duty military members will receive free admission and will be recognized during halftime of the game. The game is supported and sponsored by the Pierre Public Schools, Pierre American Legion Post 8, South Dakota Army National Guard and the Hughes County Veterans Service Office. The second “Salute to Veterans” night will be for a boys basketball game and Mullen says it will take place at the end of January…
The boys game is made possible by the help of Pierre Public Schools, Beck Motors, South Dakota Army National Guard and Hughes County Veterans Service Office.
