PIERRE, (KCCR) — Two regular meetings remain for the Pierre City Commission in 2024. The Commission meets tonight at 5:30 at the Pierre Municipal Building. A five-item consent calendar awaits the Commission containing minutes and claims, a new hire of a dispatcher and a raffle requests filed by the Mule Deer Foundation. A public hearing is set for 5:45 pm for the transfer of a retail on-off sale malt beverage, wine and cider and package off-sale liquor licenses from Day and Day, Incorporated to P-S-D Enterprises, L-L-C. In new business, Commissioners will consider a request to bid for an aerial platform ladder truck for the fire department and a request to purchase water tank mixers. The Commission will also consider a service agreement for locating and marking underground facilities, like utilities and a lease renewal agreement with the South Dakota Discovery Center. Commissioners will end the meeting by giving any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission will not meet on Christmas Eve, but will meet Monday, December 30th to complete any year-end business.
