Stanley County Boys Open Season with Win, Girls Fall to Miller

The Stanley County basketball teams hosted its first doubleheader of the season as the Buffalo boys would get a 54-41 while the girls would fall 42-12 to Miller.

The Rustlers would shut down the Lady Buffaloes en route to its first win of the season holding the Lady Buffaloes to barely break double digits. The smothering defense of the Rustlers left little breathing room for Stanley County throughout the night. Stanley County drops to 1-1 on the season.

In the boys game, Paxton Deal and Eddie Duffy would lead the Buffaloes to a first game win as both scored 13 points on the night. Stanley County had a 32-23 lead at the end of the first half and kept the Rustlers chasing them the remainder of the night. The Rustlers are at 0-1.

The Lady Buffs will host White River on Saturday while the boys will be off until Tuesday when they take on the Winner Warriors. Tip off on Saturday for the girls game will be around 4:00 from the Parkview Auditorium in Fort Pierre.
