The Oahe Capitals boys and girls varsity teams will be at home for the first time this season hosting the Sioux Center Storm for a total of five games between Friday and Sunday.
The Capital boys will take on Sioux Center both tonight and Saturday. The Caps, at 0-3, will be looking for its first win against Sioux Center who is 0-6 to start the year and have struggled mightily. The Storm have just four goals, all in the 6-4 loss to Brandon Valley. In the other five games, the Storm have been shutout and given up a total of 84 goals and have a -86 goal differential.
For the girls, the Storm will be in town for three straight days this weekend. Sioux Center is 1-5-1-0 with a win over Brookings, but also lost to Brookings and tied the Watertown Lakers. Oahe is 2-1 and will look to bounce back after the loss to the Rangers last Saturday. It’s the first home games of the season for both varsity teams.
Coverage tonight begins at 5:40 with puck drop at 6:00 with the boys game to follow. Saturday’s coverage begins at 12:55 and 6:25 and then on Sunday at 11:10 Sunday morning. All five games will be on Capital City Rock and on YouTube at Capital City Rock Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
