O’Gorman’s Schmligen Receives 11AAA All-American

Sullivan Schlimgen, the running back and linebacker for the O’Gorman Knights, would receive the 11AAA All-American status for the 2024 season, headlining this year’s team.

Schlimgen did it all for OG as he finished with 72 total tackles and had an interception. He broke the career tackle mark at O’Gorman with 241. As good as he was offensively, he was one of the very few guys in 11AAA to play both ways. He rushed for 734 yards and had 34 catches for 689 yards and also threw for 203 yards scoring a total of 22 touchdowns for the Knights. The Pierre Governors had to deal with him on both sides of the ball back in week six of the year. Schlimgen is committed to play football at South Dakota State next year.

Brandon Valley would lead 11AAA with nine players on the All-State team. However, Brody Schafer, the quarterback for Lincoln made the first team as he was the youngest player in 11AAA to make the All-State team this year.
