PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners have a light agenda, but a busy consent calendar to consider. Besides the usual meeting minute approval and claims, the calendar includes a promotion at the airport, a transfer from the wastewater plant to the airport, a raffle request filed by Countryside Hospice, setting a public hearing for a liquor license transfer a firefighter cadet application and three volunteer firefighter applications. Commissioners will consider giving introduction to a plat change in the Riverside Cemetery and an amendment to an agreement with Burns and McDonnell for engineering on the wastewater plant project. The Commission will also consider second reading and adoption of a utility rate ordinance and approval of the 2025 schedule of fees for various city services. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
