PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of a five-item consent calendar before tackling the main agenda. The calendar includes approval of the claims, meeting minutes, two raffle requests and a pay adjustment for an employee. The raffle requests have been filed by American Legion Post Eight and the Pierre Area Chamber. The Commission will get an update on progress with the John Waldron bridge before considering a change order and final payment for 2024 base course and curb and gutter projects. Commissioners will also consider a second change order with P-K-G Contracting for the water treatment plant. Other agenda items include considering an urban boundary map update with the Federal Highway Administration, first reading of a utilities rate ordinance and a request to purchase new patrol vehicles for the Pierre Police Department. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
