It will be an NSIC conference clash in the first round of the Division-II football playoffs on Saturday when the Augustana Vikings host the Minnesota State Mavericks in Sioux Falls.
The two teams played back on Saturday October 26 in Mankato with the Vikings winning 34-16 which put them to 6-2 at the time. Augustana finished the regular season at 8-3 with a loss to Bemidji State 17-10 on Saturday. Minnesota State is also 8-3 with a loss in the regular season finale dropping a 30-16 decision to Minnesota Duluth. The winner of Saturday’s game meets the top seed of quadrant four in Colorado State Pueblo.
Senior Jett Lamb wants to continue his career on Saturday. The Onida native has accumulated 11 total tackles along with three and a half tackles for loss and two sacks. Lamb has played in at least seven games each season since 2021.
