PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight at the Hughes County Courthouse. The Commission will consider approval of the November 7th meeting minutes and claims before getting into the main agenda. Commissioners will hear a report on county bridge inspections and consider budget supplements for the finance office and Hughes County Jail. The Commission will also consider approval of budget cash transfers and various contracts. Those contracts involve Fiscal Year Adult and Juvenile matters, medical service at the Hughes County Jail and with the state Association of County Commissioners. Commissioners will also consider personnel for the Highway Department, Hughes County Jail and Emergency Management office, which has been empty since former Emergency Manger Troy Blevins resigned. The Commission will also hear reports from Finance Officer Thomas Oliva, County Manager Lori Jacobson and Commission liaison. The Hughes County Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
