Just over a week later, the Pierre Governors are heading back to Jefferson High School to face the Cavaliers in the 2-15 matchup of the Class AA SoDak 16 tonight.
The Governors finished the regular season at 6-14 while Jefferson is at 19-4. The Cavs would win the three set match last Tuesday 25-14, 25-15 and 25-12. Jefferson then went to a five set match against Aberdeen Central on Thursday to close the season. Pierre finished the regular season dropping its last five straight and nine of 10 heading into the SoDak 16. However, Pierre played Jefferson tough early on in each of the three sets and Carrie Wheelhouse, head coach of the Pierre Governors says the Governors have to be more confident from last Tuesday into tonight…
