For the eighth straight year the Pierre Governor football team will be off to the DakotaDome in Vermillion for the 11AA state championship. Friday, the Governors will have their send off.
The football team will have a send off on Friday morning at 8:45 AM at the Riggs theater lobby. The public is welcome to attend to send the Governors back to the Dome. Tickets for the game can be purchased at goyotes.com and selecting South Dakota High School Football Championships. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.
The Governors will face the Watertown Arrows at 7:00 Friday night in Vermillion. The game will be broadcast on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler, Blake Dean and Mendel Miller on the call.
