Tonight, the fifth seeded Sully Buttes Chargers will play host to the eighth seeded Canistota Hawks in the 9B semifinals with a trip to the DakotaDome next week Thursday on the line.
After Canistota beat top seeded Avon on the road last week along with the Chargers beating fourth seeded Corsica-Stickney also on the road, Sully Buttes gets to host one of the two 9B semifinals in Onida. Sully Buttes, now 9-1, drove past the Jaguars with a 30 point win even though losing the turnover battle. Meanwhile, Canistota beat Avon 16-8 and held a team who was averaging almost 50 points a game to just one touchdown. Canistota made the state semifinals last season.
