The Potter County Battlers will head north to Selby tonight to face the Herreid/Selby Area Wolverines in the Region 6B semifinals and a right to the SoDak 16 next Tuesday.
The Battlers would sweep the Highmore-Harrold Pirates 25-20, 25-16 and 25-18 on Tuesday as the three seed improved to 19-11 on the season. Herreid/Selby had a three set sweep of Tiospaye Topa at home and improved to 17-11. This is the third meeting between the two teams as Herreid/Selby beat Potter County 2-0 on August 31 in Onida, before sweeping the Battlers again on October 8 with scores of 25-17, 26-24 and 25-16 in Selby. Both teams are in the 20s of the Class B standings and regardless of who wins, most likely will be a lower seed in the SoDak 16. However, a win puts the team into the SoDak 16 and just one win shy of making the state tournament in Sioux Falls in two weeks.
First serve will be at 7:00 from Selby High School tonight.
