Governors Drop Regular Season Finale with Sweep at Jefferson

The Jefferson Cavaliers displayed its potent offensive attack on Tuesday night, knocking off the Pierre Governors in three sets, 25-14, 25-15 and 25-12.

Jefferson had 50 kills in the match in the three set sweep, out of the 75 points in total for the Cavaliers who up its mark to 18-4 while the Governors will finish the regular season at 6-14. Emory Brosnahan had 13 kills to lead the Cavaliers. Isabel Simmons had 12 and Peyton Krull had 10. The Governors were led by Ely Broers and Campbell Cronin who each had three kills. In total, the Governors had just 11 kills in the three set loss.

The loss by Yankton on Tuesday assures the Governors a spot in the SoDak 16. Once all games are completed by the weekend, the Governors will know who their opponent will be next week Thursday on the road.
