Former Pierre Governor, Jessica Lutmer and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits Cross Country Team would take the Summit League Conference titles on Saturday at the Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion.
Lutmer would place eighth which is second team All-Conference for SDSU posting a time of 21:07.82 which was just two seconds behind finishing as a first team All-Conference member and was 33 seconds behind the Conference champion Reagan Baesler of North Dakota State. Lutmer was third for the Jacks with freshman Courtney Stadter finishing third overall and Meghan Ford who finished in seventh overall. It’s the second straight All-Conference Second Team finish for Lutmer, a senior, who started her collegiate career running for the University of Sioux Falls before transferring up to South Dakota State.
The boys team would also win the conference title, the ninth straight Summit League title. You can see a full list of the results for both the boys and girls races below. The Jackrabbits will head to Peoria, Illinois for the Regionals on Friday, November 15.
