PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Only a two-item consent calendar sits between the Commission and the remainder of the agenda. A public hearing is scheduled for 5:45 pm for a wine and cider license application filed by Mi Ranchito restaurant in the 300 block of South Pierre Street. In new business, the Commission will consider multiple special event temporary liquor license applications for events at the Larkspur Landing Event Center. They are for events on October 26th, November 1st and December 6th and 14th. Commissioners will consider approval of two street closure requests. One is for the Parade of Lights on November 5th while the second is for the Oahe Winter Festival on December 7th. An introduction will be given to a special assessment project to replace drinking water service lines and other necessary connections related to the Highway 14/Euclid Avenue reconstruction project. The Commission will also consider a change order on the outdoor pool and an update on improvements to the waste water plant. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
