Pierre School Board Set For Rare Tuesday Meeting

PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre School Board is moving it’s normal Monday night meeting to tonight because of the Native American Day holiday. The Board will consider approval of the agenda and seven-item consent calendar before hearing comments from Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt. Board and public comments will follow along with a report from the Riggs Student Senate. Board members will hear a school safety update and consider a nomination for a delegate for the Associated School Boards of South Dakota Assembly. Board members will also consider formal action to approve the District’s Capital Outlay Tax request for Pay Calendar Year 2025 and architecture and engineering issuance of request for proposals for facility improvements. Other agenda items include considering approval of an administrative rule waiver, donations and amended contract items. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the District Administration building on Poplar Avenue. The meeting is open to the public.
