The Pierre Governor football team will travel to Sturgis tonight looking to stop its four game losing streak as they take on the 2-4 Scoopers to start the final third of the season.
The Governors want to get back in the win column and finish out the season with three straight wins to get into the postseason above .500. Sturgis has dropped three straight games and at 2-4 are on the outside looking in at the playoffs. The Scoopers were shutout to Yankton last Friday and dropped an 18-17 game to Aberdeen Central prior to losing to Huron in overtime. This is the first time the Govs have traveled in three weeks and only the second time in the last six weeks.
