Governors Finally Return to Court after Two Weeks Off

The Pierre Governor volleyball team hasn’t been on the court since Saturday, September 21, but Saturday will be back to action taking on the Brandon Valley Lynx.

Brandon Valley will be playing its third game of the week on Saturday after being swept by Harrisburg on Tuesday and dropped a decision to Aberdeen Central on Thursday. Brandon Valley, at 5-9, are just one spot ahead of the Pierre Governors in the AA standings and Pierre can inch closer to the 13th spot with a win. Jayaunna Stroh and Abby Gruber lead the Lynx in kills as both have over 100 on the season. But the Lynx are a young squad with only one senior on the team and using a freshman in Logan Mcguire who has nearly 150 assists on the season. The Governors want a quick start to shake off any rust from the two week break.

Coverage Saturday begins at 2:00 with first serve at 2:30 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
