Pierre’s Emery Larson would tack on another top five finish on Friday with a fourth place time of 18:53, less than a minute off the pace to have the highest Governor finish of the day.
The Governor girls would get a fifth place team finish scoring a 176 in total, while Harrisburg would score a 63 for the team win at Hart Ranch in Rapid City. Harper Shaffer would finish 37th, Gwen Ricther in 41st and Devyn Van Roekel in 46th as the four Governors inside the top 50 of the 180 runners in total.
Caleb Morris would have the best finish on the boys side, placing 21st at a time of 17:13, just a minute and three second off the lead runner. However, Morris would be the only runner on the boys side to finish inside the top 100 on the day. Jayden Brandt would place 101.
