The Pierre Governor cheer and dance team each would compete at the Brandon Valley invite on Tuesday. The cheer team would place 12th and the dance team in ninth.
For the cheer team, they would score an even 200 and be within ten points of jumping into ninth place overall. Harrisburg would score a 288 which was five and a half points better than Jefferson to claim the grand champion of the night.
The Governor dance team would place ninth out of 14 teams in Brandon. Pierre would score a 223.5, fifth place finish in the hip-hop division. Then would score a 214.5 in the pom division which was in eighth place. Overall, Pierre had a 219 for ninth while Brandon Valley, at 269.5 would edge Dakota Valley by two and a half points for the grand champion of the dance teams.
