The Pierre Governor cheer and dance team would compete at Brookings on Saturday with over 20 teams on the cheer side and nearly 20 teams competing in dance.
The Governor cheer team would get 12th place out of 22 teams in total with a score of 201 and within 10 points of being inside the top ten. Harrisburg would be the grand champion of Saturday’s contest with a 284.5, nine points better than second place Jefferson.
The Governor dance squad would place eighth out of 17 with a team score of 248.75 while Brandon Valley would win the day at 285.5, nearly four points better than second place Dakota Valley. Pierre was fifth at a 247 in the hip-hop division and then placed seventh at 250.5 in the pom division.
