The Pierre Governor volleyball team wouldn’t be able to stop the Lincoln Patriots on Thursday night falling in a sweep with scores of 25-16, 25-9, 25-20.
The Governors drop to 4-5 on the season while Lincoln improves to 5-5, stopping a four match losing streak. The Govs drop its third straight. The Lincoln Patriots were led by Hannah Baron and Emma Kruse each having 10 kills. Natalie Dillon would finish with eight. Kierra Gossman finished with the team high five kills for the Governors. Campbell Cronin and Jaycee Bauer each had three kills.
The Governors will be back at home for its final game of the month of September and will have a two week break hosting the Tea Area Titans. Coverage will start at 2:00 and first serve at 2:30 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler and Mendel Miller on the call.
