The Pierre Governor volleyball team couldn’t keep up with the Washington Warriors on Tuesday night dropping a three set match 25-16, 25-12 and 25-17.
In the middle of all three sets, the Warriors would make their run at the Governors piling up the points with streaks of five plus. Kaelyn Snoozy would lead all hitters with 11 kills on the night while Cate Legal had 10 for the Warriors. Dana Harpe also added another eight as the Warriors weren’t flashy, but fundamentally sound with 38 total kills to 12 hitting errors. Campbell Cronin would lead Pierre with eight kills on the night while Jaycee Bauer finished with four. The Governors had just 17 kills overall on the evening.
Pierre drops to 4-4 on the season while Washington improves to 5-1 on the year. Pierre will travel to Sioux Falls on Thursday for a match against the Lincoln Patriots. Coverage will start at 6:30 with first serve at 7:00 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
