The Pierre Governor cheer and dance teams would both place fifth at the Huron Invite on Tuesday out of the 11 teams in total.
The Governors would score a 215 on the cheer side which was just six points behind Watertown for fourth place. Sioux Valley would be the grand champion of the invite with a team score of 264, just 1.5 points better than the Brookings Bobcats.
On the dance side, the Governors would score a 237 in the hip-hop division for fourth best and 236.5 in the pom division, also fourth best. Pierre finished with a 236.75, which was eight points behind Aberdeen Central for fourth place overall. Harrisburg would win the team title as the dance team averaged a 280.25 getting first in both the jazz and hip-hop divisions.
