The Pierre Governors had two winners in Aberdeen on Thursday at the cross country run held at Lee Park Golf Course as Emery Larson would win the girls race and Caleb Morris for the boys.
Larson would run at a time of 18:58 which was over two minutes better than second place while Gwen Richter would come in with a time of 21:05. Charlee Williams-Smith, Elaina Rounds, Harper Shaffer and Mason Berg would finish five through eight for the Governors while Jayne Lees and Allyson Bauer would finish 21st and 23rd to round out the Governors day. Pierre would score a total of 19 points to beat Aberdeen Central who finished a total of 40.
On the boys side, Morris would win a close race over Aberdeen Central’s Carson Urlacher beating him out by just over a second at 16:35.20 to 16:36.69. Jayden Brandt would place eighth with a 18:17 as the two Governors inside the top ten. Jim Neddo, Tryton Parmely, Ian Rounds, Daniel Mason and Jacob Mason would finish 14-18th and CJ Moses at 20th to round out the runners for Pierre. Aberdeen Central would have the team win a 22 points while Pierre finished with 43.
