The Pierre Governor volleyball team will be on the road for the first time this season as they take on the Douglas Patriots in Box Elder tonight.
Pierre is 1-2 with a win over Rapid City Central on Saturday getting its first win and set wins of the season. Pierre dropped two sweeps to Watertown and Rapid City Stevens on Tuesday and Friday last week. The Govs look to quickly get to .500 against the 2-5 Douglas Patriots who picked up a win over Custer on Tuesday. Douglas was in Huron this past weekend going 0-4 being swept in all four matches against Watertown, Chester, Brandon Valley and Northwestern. The Patriots only other win is against Rapid City Christian last week Thursday. It’s the only match of the week for the Governors before playing three games next week.
