Fort Pierre City Council Moves Monday Meeting To Tuesday Due To Labor Day

FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is moving its normal Monday night meeting to tonight because of the Labor Day holiday. The Council will hear reports from city officials before getting into the agenda. A public hearing will be held for a temporary liquor license for Buckin on the River at the Stanley County Fairgrounds on September 13th and 14th. The Council will consider a resolution on the potential impact of Initiated Measure 28 and a pavement management plan. A number of items on the agenda are pay applications and change orders on various city projects, mainly for road construction projects in fort Pierre. The Council will hear a proposal to fix shop doors, replace lagoon heaters and roof repairs from hail damage. Council members will give introduction to the 2025 city budget along with considering action on curb, gutter and sidewalk issue. A public hearing will be set for a temporary liquor license for events at the Pat Duffy Community Center. The Council will also consider a resolution for a plat change and approval of a temporary liquor license for the Silver Spur for an event at the Fairgrounds on October 5th and 6th. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at six pm at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room.
