The Pierre Governor football team will get its season underway as the quest for eight straight state championships starts Saturday night traveling to Aberdeen to face the Golden Eagles.
The Governors would shutout Aberdeen Central in Aberdeen last year to open the season on its way to an 11-1 season winning the seventh straight state championship. Now, the Governors will have new leadership and new faces in positions as the Govs will get nine new defensive starters along with four to five new offensive starters.
