Dakota Schools to Play Tonight to Start College Football Season

Several Dakota schools will get the college football really kicked off tonight as FCS teams play, Division II and NAIA teams will also get the start of their season.

The marquee matchup of the night is North Dakota State traveling to Colorado for tonight’s game. Pierre’s Grey Zabel will start on the offensive line in his last year with the team. It’s a 7:00 kickoff which will also be on ESPN to watch. South Dakota is the other FCS school to open the season as they take on an in-state team in Northern State. It’s the first game on the new turf at the DakotaDome. Kickoff is at 7:00. The University of Sioux Falls will also start its season against an FCS team as they travel to face the Tommies of St. Thomas, Minnesota with a 6:00 kickoff. Also in Division II, the South Dakota School of Mines will play its first game of the season against Colorado State Pueblo in Rapid City at 7:00 Central time. It is also the Ag Bowl tonight in Madison as the Dakota State Trojans host rival Dakota Wesleyan with kickoff at 7:05.
