The volleyball season will get underway tonight as the Sully Buttes Chargers will host the Jones County Coyotes in the opening match of the year which doubles as Homecoming.
The Chargers finished the season at 13-18 last season, but only lost two to graduation. A year of experience for these girls can pay dividends as the season starts. Jones County finished at 5-22 last year and were swept by the Chargers to begin the season. The Coyotes lost four players to graduation and have just one senior and three juniors on this year’s team. While they are a young team, they do return plenty of experience back to this year’s team.
Homecoming week is this week for Sully Buttes. It’s a rare first home game with Homecoming on top of it for the Chargers who will also host a tournament this coming weekend.
