The Sully Buttes Chargers football team graduated just one senior from last year’s squad. Now, the Chargers bring back plenty of experience in all facets of the game as the season gets underway on Friday.
The Chargers will open the season on the road against Northwestern this Friday, but as fall camp got underway and all but one players was able to come back, practice is much different this year than last year. Tom Moore, head coach of the Chargers says there was a lot of learning in fall camp and throughout the season last year…
A couple of big things which helps in returning plenty of players is quarterback Wesley Wittler will start again in his junior year. Gavin Barber, who really took control of the running game is also back, and there are plenty of returning guys on the line. Moore says it’s a big change from last year and big to have those guys back…
And going into the start of the season, Moore wants to see the offense be balanced…
