The first day of the state tournaments for 13U, 14U and Junior legion have all been completed and the weekend will continue for those three Pierre Post 8 teams with two more guaranteed games.
The 13U team will play again on Friday, this time against Watertown at 5:30 before wrapping up pool play on Saturday at 3:30 against Brookings. If the Eights are one of the top two teams they will play at 12:00 on Sunday in the semifinals, but if they just make Sunday they will play the first game at 9:30. The championship is at 2:30, all in Sioux Falls.
The 14U team will continue on Friday with its second game of the tournament, this time facing Renner at 2:30. Then on Saturday, Pierre will face Sioux Falls Post 15 at 9:30 in the morning. The Eights will have to wait and see if they make Sunday or what their seed might be after all the games are down around 5:00 Saturday evening. Those first games are also played at 9:30 on Saturday with the semifinals to play at 12:00 and the championship at 2:30 in Watertown.
The Jr. Legion will continue its tournament in Pierre. Every game of the tournament is played at Hyde Stadium as the Eights will be the last game to be played each night. Tonight, Pierre will play Brandon Valley at 7:30 and then end pool play with Brookings at 6:00 on Saturday. Only the top two teams in each pool advance to the semifinals on Sunday. The semifinals are at 9:30 and 12:00 with the championship game scheduled for 2:30 all at Hyde Stadium.
