Miller’s Jayce Pugh and Riley Pugh would shoot a two over par, 74 to win the Adult Junior Championship on Sunday at the Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion, part of the South Dakota Golf Association tour.
The Pugh’s were one shot better than Pierre Governor Sawyer Sonnenschein and Taylor Sonnenschein who tied for second at three over par 75 as local athletes made the top two to bring home some hardware. Luke Olson and Aaron Olson would finish tied with Pierre’s Jack Bartlett and Mike Bartlett and Nick Bothun and Scott Bothun as all three pairs would shoot an eight over par, 80. Lincoln Houska and Clint Olson would finish with an 88.
In the 9 and Under boys division, Kash Pugh and Robert Pugh of Miller would tie for first, but finish second with a 41. In the Boys 12-13 Division, Adam Kulesa and Rigley Kulesa would finish in fifth palce shooting an 88, ten shots behind first.
