Summer’s End Fundamental Camp

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sanford Sports Baseball Academy will host a Summer’s End Baseball Fundamental Camp for grades 3-8 on Wednesday, August 7 at the Diamonds at the Sanford Sports Complex in Sioux Falls.

The camp will feature college baseball players who have previously graduated from the academy, including former Sioux Falls Roosevelt standout pitcher Marcus Phillips, an instrumental part of the University of Tennessee’s 2024 NCAA national championship team.

In addition to Phillips, the following athletes will also be in attendance for the camp:

-Jack Radel (SF Roosevelt HS): University of Notre Dame pitcher
-Cohen Henry (SF Jefferson HS): South Dakota State University outfielder
-Bryce Ronken (SF Washington HS): South Dakota State University infielder
-Grafton Stroup (West Central HS): Umpqua Community College (OR) infielder

The Summer’s End Fundamental Camp will feature two all-encompassing sessions that focus on throwing mechanics, hitting, and fielding. The first session for grades 3-5 is from 9:00-10:30 a.m., while the second session for grades 6-8 is from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Campers will also be able to receive autographs after each session.

The cost of the camp is $100 and kids can be registered online at sanfordsports.com through Monday, August 5.
