Zap Fight Back, Fall to Hastings

Story written by Ryann Barry – Oahe Zap, being down 9-0 would score eight runs in the late innings, but ultimately fall to the Hastings Sodbusters 16-9 Monday night at Hyde Stadium.

Hastings would score six runs in the top of the fourth to help jump start the big lead which was 9-0 after five innings. Oahe would score two runs in the sixth on a two RBI single from Garren Gledhill and then hit a grand slam in the seventh to pull the Zap within three at 11-8. Mason Lang also hit a two run homer in the inning. But Hastings responded with a five run eighth to secure the win. Gledhill finished 4-5 while Aiden Johnson, Lang and Vince Polizzi all would double. Manager Jamy Habeger says the starting pitcher for Hastings was good…

The Zap are now 9-10 and have lost four in a row. Oahe and Hastings will play game two of the three game series tonight with first pitch at 6:05 at Hyde Stadium.
